Yes, definitely come out to eat here, the food is amazing, but i would have to say to remind the staff again (and again) about allergies and special diet restrictions so they can be conveyed to the Chef.A post shared by Strong Hearts On The Hill Hearts ![]() (our waiter knew that she was Vegan as we spoke about it several times, and that she was to get the vegetable risotto) everything else was delicious and IF she was served chicken risotto, i know it was a complete mistake by the Chef, and totally unintentional. can i be absolutely positive that she was served regular risotto made with chicken broth? no, i can't be sure, but after her date commented about it and then she also states that she is sick to her stomach and had to leave immediately. we had to get our check from John and dash out of there. after she returned, she said that it was time to go, her stomach was upset and she had to leave ! (as in - NOW) any Vegan knows, that if you have not eaten any meat/meat products for years and then you eat some - your stomach goes into fits. Approx half way through the meal my Vegan friend had to excuse herself to the restroom, while she was gone her date made a comment that the risotto really tasted like chicken, that IF it was made with vegetable broth - it was impossible to tell. John, our waiter (by request) was funny, attentive and all around 'super !' John brought our Vegan friend a beautiful dish of vegetables & risotto, and her date also received some risotto along with his meal. we arrived and we had a great meal, my meal and my dates meal was delicious. they took down the notes so that our server and the Chef would know. 3rd visit to The Inn Between, i had called ahead (twice) to alert the staff that our dining party had 2 different seafood allergies and 1 Vegan person.
